Epipremnum aureum 'Neon'

The size of the plant and of its bag can vary a little from the photograph — each one grows at its own pace. We keep them as consistent as we can.
Overview
Pothos is one of the most popular houseplants in the world, and we offer it here in its neon form, with bright lime-yellow leaves. Curiously, in the wild it's native to just one island: Mo'orea, in French Polynesia. When it climbs a tree it transforms completely: its leaves, under 20 cm long in a pot, reach a meter long and split into lobes. Easy, generous and close to indestructible.
Culture
It climbs with aerial roots and is very vigorous: in the wild it reaches about 20 meters. The neon form needs bright light to keep its color, but no strong direct sun; let the mix dry a little between waterings. It almost never flowers in cultivation, so it's grown from cuttings. In countries such as Sri Lanka it has escaped from gardens and invaded protected forests: outdoors, plant it only where you can keep it in check.
Edible Uses
Not edible: it contains calcium oxalate crystals that irritate the mouth and can make pets vomit. Keep it away from children, dogs and cats.
Medicinal
No documented medicinal uses. In lab studies, in sealed rooms, it has removed compounds such as formaldehyde and benzene from the air, though in a normal home the effect is much smaller.
Traditional uses for information only. Not a substitute for advice from a health professional.
Agroforestry
A climbing ornamental for the trunks of large trees or structures in bright shade. Because of its invasive potential, keep it in pots, baskets or bounded spaces, away from forest edges.
